Deer Feeders are very simple to make. It depends on what you want the the feeder for. If you just want to feed the deer in your backyard, all you need is about a 6x4' peice of 1/2" plywood. This is kinda hard to explain, but ill give it a shot. Cut one 3' section at 12" wide and another 3' section with a width of 11". Take these two peices and make a right angle "L" and nail them together at the joint. Then cut two triangular pieces that fit each end and nail them. For the legs you can either cut the remaining plywood into two X's and the "trough rests in the top of the X, or you can just nail two wood stakes about 2' long to nail to the sides and pound into the ground.
For a deer feeder meant for hunting, this is even harder to explain then the above. You need a 2' section of 5" PVC pipe,
a 5"-2" PVC adapter section, a 2" PVC elbow joint, and a 2" PVC strainer. Connect all the above in the order there listed and cut half of the PVC strainer (long ways) with the open side facing up. Your feed goes into the top of the 5" piece and then you hang it from a tree at about 3' high.
I hope you can understand these directions and it helps out or gives you any ideas of your own. Good Luck

Take about a 4 foot piece of PVC and glue a 90 degree to the bottom and a cap (do not glue) on the top. Drill water drain holes in the middle of the 90 degree bend on what will be the bottom. Strap this to a tree with the 90 degree opening facing up about half a foot from the ground. You can fill this (by taking the cap off) with shelled corn and it will act like a self-feeder until it is empty. Go longer or bigger diameter to hold more corn. Turkeys, squirrels, deer, raccoons, and birds will eat from this.

Deer loves apples so I was thinking about putting halved apples on stakes along the back of the property. Pretty simple.
