Maybe you could learn to spell better to impress them, then they might let you go.

Is the issue about going to the mall or is it about buying an outfit that they are unwilling to pay for? Malls are very dangerous places for girls. It may also be that they don't trust your friend. When they are calm, ask them if they would please tell you their reasons for their decision. Use a respectful tone and let them talk without argument or interruption and truly listen. Have you done something that has caused them not to tust you? If so, that will surely come up in the conversation. When you have heard them out, make a calm statement as to why you believe that you should have their permission. Do Not use an argumentative or disrespectful tone. Be sure to use "I" phrases, not "you" phrases: I would like to please know why I have not been given permission to go to the mall with _____. or I'd like to understand better the reasons I have not been given permission to go to the mall with____? Only if you know for sure that you've been a good girl: Have I ever done anything that shows I can't be trusted or is it _______who is untrustworthy? You may not like their response. But put it in perspective. You need to pick your battles. I know to a teen that this is very important, but to your parents, it is probably a nonevent. Is a trip to the mall and/or getting a new outfit really worth a fight when you'll have so many other situations that are much more important than this. At your age,you will find yourself needing their care and support for quite awhile. Good luck.
