My husband might be getting a new job. The pay is good. The only bad thing is that he would be working third shift, probably about 10 pm to 6 am and off on weekends.

I am a SAHM and can't just conform to a new schedule the way my husband would have to.

How do you deal with being on a completely different schedule than your husband?

I feel you on this one. My husband works 2 jobs! He leaves the house at 8 a.m. and does not return until 11:30 p.m. I miss him bad!!! He too is off on weekends. Look at it this way....it sucks for now but the money will be great and he will move up with more money and better hours! Absents makes the heart grow founder. When you do get to see him you will miss him so bad that you wont fight.
Good luck

I am a single parent and sometimes I have to work third shift at my job but only once in awhile when I have to fill in as a backup. I actually like it because of the money. I wish I was a SAHM. You will get used to it eventually. The only thing is you are going to have to pray that your husband will be able to sleep through the noise that the kids may make while he is sleeping. Just be sure to lock every lock on the house when he is at work. Being off weekends will be a good thing. That way you will be able to look forward to seeing your husband and spending time with him. It may be good for relationship with him as well.

I made it clear I work because I have to, not because I want to. And I need my sleep just like everyone else does. So keep it quiet and be glad that I'm not lazy and am working for a living.
No one has a problem with me working 3rd shift.
