Does anyone know the best way to train your dog to be a therapy dog? I'm in Arkansas.

You would have to take the CGC and then there are six additional exercise you would take at the same time as the CGC test.You find out if you pass or fail the same day. In the sites provided the test is listed, this way you can look up and see what you need to practice and there is a link in the site to find out where and when testing is done in your state. To find classes for the TDI test contact an evaluator in your state they may be able to help.

Do a search for Delta therapy dog and Therapy dog international, they are the two big therapy dog orgs.

you need to go through basic training, work your way up to "canine good citizen" certification, then you can contact your local group and start the therapy dog trainining and shadow other dogs.
you can begin trainning at petsmart.
