If he feels he cannot get his own way isn't this a form of bullying for you to do what he wants?....and isn't it some what spiteful?....i'm just curious, this has no bearing on my relationship just curious.....

this a grasp for control over the person.
It is how people normally deal with a child. You need to clean your room or you will not get to ( watch TV ) or ( go out and play )
It's all about control

it's not really right for people to put ultimatums on anyone, but it happens when one person is not getting what they want. my simple solution is if you aren't getting what you wnat and you have to con your way into it..it's probably just a bad deal and time to find some way to get yoru way w/o having to con your way into it (like someone who is more suited for you)
