Since she was born she has always slept well through the night. She wouldn't wake up even to eat. Recently, I would have to say within the past 2 months, she wakes up everynight to drink milk. I've tried just giving her a sip of water instead of milk but she doesn't want it. She has to have her milk. Recently though I've had a hard time putting her to sleep. She's never been the kind to be rocked to sleep, always put her in her crib and let her fall asleep by herself. But lately nothing can get her to sleep. I put her down and 10:30 and she doesn't fall asleep until about 2am in which she is crying the entire time until I do something. Crying it out doesn't work. It's not that she's spoiled and wants to get out and play it's just that she CAN'T sleep. Is this normal for a 2 year old to have sleeping problems. It's almost as if she is uncomfortable or can't get comfortable and once she's asleep it wakes her up in the middle of the night. I'm also 5 months preg. Could this be the reason

I never leave her anywhere. Since she was born I've never been apart from her other than when I'm sleeping or showering. I've never left her with anyone and she doesn't quite understand that I'm having a baby!

Your pregnancy could be weighing on her mind a little, but i don't think it would cause this issue.
Milk is absolutely fine to give if she wakes up, you could even try warming it. She may be in need of a new mattress, my son did the same thing so i went out and bought him a softer mattress and haven't had any problems since. But children will go through this kind of phase, i would lay down with her and keep all lights, tv's etc off and don't get up yourself, lay there and be quiet and every few minutes say "come lay down" "time to go nite nite" or something along those lines. I really don't know, if nothing works talk to her doctor.

My son used to model for our local malls when he was 1 1/2. I think as long as the parent does not go overboard w/ the modeling (JonBenet type thing) and that your child can still have a social life at her age and be w/ her friends. I personally think it's a good idea to have your child model every once in a while (not day after day) and the money made could go to your daughter's education, which is what I did for my son.

It could be that she is getting congested at night or has an inner ear infection that gets worse at night since she is lying down. It also could be that she needs a new bed or pillow because she has developed some kind of allergy to the materials in it.

If she acts uncomfortable she may not be feeling well. My 18 month old daughter did the same thing and her doctor diagnosed her with acid reflux. She was put on Prevacid and is a whole different kid. You might want to consider calling your pediatrician and asking their advice.

SHE MAY BE HAVING GROWING PAINS AS MY 17 MONTH OLD GETS THESE AND WAKES UP SCREAMING AND CANT GET BACK TO SLEEP. I KNOW HER PAIN CRY. IF SHE HAS BEEN REAL FUSSY I WILL GIVE HER TYLENOL BEFORE SHE GOES DOWN AND THIS SEEMS TO WORK QUITE WELL. ALSO SHE COULD BE HAVING NIGHT MARES WHEN SHE TRIES TO SLEEP MY DAUGHTER HAS THOSE AS WELL AND THE ONLY THING THAT WILL STOP HE FEAR IS ME PICKING HER UP.
I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH.

If she wants milk, give her milk. Then put on some soothing music and cuddle...that way you can sleep and she can be with you and not feel lonely.

it could be that she knows that you are having a baby and that makes her want to act like a baby or it could be something different i would consult her doctor and see if there is something more wrong with her.
