My wife says sitting because the position is better as you are naturally spreading your cheeks. I say standing. This may sound silly, but it really is a serious question.

Hmmm I didn't realize there was a right or wrong way to do it
particularly, if you're a male.
My take on it is, as long as you rid yourself of the aftermath
you've been successful, regardless of which method you use

i agree with your wife, sitting because standing surely you would squish poo furthur between your bum cheeks than need be.

ok.... i thought it was weird that I found out now that people were standing whild wiping their booties... I've never dipped my hand in the water..

seated, clean up the area that you did while you were sitting, makes more sense.what if its hanging? ok i jus grossed myself out. lol
