I am 5'6 and 200lbs, last year I was 145lbs. I've been asked out, but still don't feel like myself. Looking for someone openminded to help me get back to my old self.

So if a girl is not thin and pretty, she's not worthy of a boyfriend? Because that's what I hear when I read your question.

I would never want to date a man who didn't find me attractive as is. Screw that!

Whether or not she has the " potential" of becoming thinner shouldn't matter unless you're only interested in her because of her looks. If that's the case, than my answer is no. No one should have to change themself for you, and you need to ask yourself if you truly want to date this for everything she is, not just so she could lose weight to fit your potential. This question sounds pretty shallow to me.

"why would she have to get skinny. We are all made different for a reason. It sure would be a dull world if we all were skinny and blonde. Think about it. why cant people accept us how we are."

because she used to be thin therefore she is not made this way.. she put herself into this way with laziness or gluttony (sorry to be so harsh) this doesnt make you a bad person, but it is what it is

girl, big girls are THE ****!!!! I know because I am one, honey. and I know Im fine too. and we are the same size, too. perfect. Hell, i get more attention than ANY of these thin mints running around here. If youre pretty, youre pretty. It doesnt matter what size you are, as long as you are healthy and happy. And there are PLENTY of fine men out there who know that big girls are THE ****. so dont put pressure on yourself to change just for a man, girl, because he should like you for YOU. the only reason you should ever want to change is because YOU want to change. But Big Girls ROCK!

I have dated a lot of big girls, and I never asked them to get thinner. I do not even think of that.

Size isnt as important as long as you are healthy and we have chemistry together. But if you are obese... hit the road jack!

is she pretty in face or in mind?, you should do what your heart tells you not what other parts of your bady do. slim pretty girls are mostly self obsessed with them selves to worrie about there partners larger girls don't have that problem. so my answer is don't be so shallow.
