The Herpesviridae are a family of DNA viruses that cause diseases in humans and animals ... There are eight distinct viruses in this family known to cause disease in humans. These viruses are (HHV stands for human herpesviruses):

HHV-3 = VZV (varicella zoster virus): causes chickenpox and shingles

HHV-4 = EBV (Epstein-Barr virus), lymphocryptovirus: causes infectious mononucleosis, Burkitt's lymphoma, CNS lymphoma in AIDS, PTLD or Post-transplant lymphoproliferative syndrome, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma

No, they're both caused by the Varcella-zoster virus, also known as Herpes type 3. Epstein-Barr is a Herpes type 4, which causes Mononucleosis and has been linked to Burkitt's Lymphoma and Nasopharyngeal Cancer.
