I have some stuff I want to put onto a dvd. Can I put a few hours on the dvd and then later add more to the end of the dvd? Or will it erase everything? In the past I've made cds and thought I could add to what I had on there, but it just erased everything and burned over what I had on there. Will this be the same with the dvd? And what kind of dvd would I get if its possible for me to add onto the end? I hope that I said this as clearly as possible.

I'm sure when I did the cd, I did it wrong and thats why it copied over it.

Yes you should be able to do that. In fact you should have been able to do it with the CD's too. I believe the only thing you need to specify when burning is that you want to leave the disk "open". This specifies that you intend on adding more to the disk at a later time. (well that's the way it works with NERO)

Yes, You can, as long as you DON'T Finalize your disc.
If you finalize, you are done.

You can use either write-once or re-writables DVDs.
