First of all they are already flocking into Iraq supporting the insurgents with weapons etc.
When we pull out our troops we just move them to a perimeter area. For quick access if we need them. And as far as them taking over Iraq. I don't see that happening.
You are speculating my friend and so am I to a degree.
Seems to me Our President should of been thinking of this, instead of landing on the back of an air craft carrier declaring victory.
And it is just not Democrats against the Presidents plan for escalation. Surge is not the right word. Republican leaders are standing up too and denouncing his plan.
Besides it is the military in Iraq, not the Democrats. So if anyone pulls out it would be our American Military. Which has no party!

DUUUUUUH!!! No they're not proposing that we completely pull out. Just that we place our troops in different areas and have a different strategy for fighting the war. Something instead of just sending more people every time it looks worse. When the same plan does not work 2 or 3 times, do you waste your time and keep using it or think up a better plan?

The democrats will make sure that we are involved in no fight unless its on our shores and then of course its too late. We will not go back to Iraq. We would have Israel do our fighting for us but they will be too busy fighting their own battles to worry about anything else once we run out. Then of course we will have our hands full just defending the southern borders of our own country. $3.00 a gallon gas will look like a bargain once our enemies start rolling. Of course then our pampered population will be screaming bloody murder about prices on everything petroleum based but we are going to have to just learn to live with it. I won't have to worry about it. I'll retire down to my little cabin and let all the lib intellectuals figure out how to govern and meet the nations security needs without firing a shot. Should be interesting. Oh, and whatever you do, don't deploy the military anywhere else. Your going to need them here, remember.

the Saudi's will be coming in from the other side.

i'm half convinced we should get out of the way and let them fight it out. however, that's an extremely cold thing to do. especially to the Iraqi's who are counting on us. (and there are some. i read some really touching stories on some Milblogs last night.)

when the DEMS pull out? Seems to me the administration, CIC and most of the troops are Republicans. So, I guess you REALLY mean when the Repubs pull out.

No, what will likely happen is that we'll supply the Iraqi goverment with a new set of arms and new set of WMD's. Oh, wait, we already did that once.

living these days is making me nervous
archaic doctrine no longer serve us
now we're left as silent witnesses
we don't know quite what this is
other than a war that can't be won

i feel like i'm crowded, i can't get out
world keeps on filling me up with doubt
when you're trapped you got no voice
where you're born you got no choice
other than to go and take you some

one dimensional fool
in a three dimensional world

politics, it's a drag
they put one foot in the grave
and the other on the flag
systems rotten to the core
young and old deserve much more
than struggling every day until you're done

tension
too much to mention
living on both sides of the gun
