No, it won't make you look manly. Unless you are getting an Abrams tank. As for work, I guess it depends on the industry you work in.

no, i don't think calf tattoos look bad at all. i am not a fan of small calf tattoos on anybody tho. i just think it tends to make the calf look huge. i will probably one day get atleast one of my calves tattooed and it will cover my whole calf or my shin. not sure yet. but either way i don't think it will look masculine unless it is a masculine tattoo. so i guess it all depends on what you get and not necessarily where.

It depends on yourself. If you are more masculine than feminine, yes it will look manly. But, I've seen some really feminine girls with tats on their calves and it looks really nice. It adds a bit of a nice twist to their appearance.
Go black and grey though!

i don't think so. i have a piece on my left leg that covers about 2/3 of the way around my leg from knee to ankle. it doesn't make me look any less feminine. tattoos appear masculine based on content, not size and location.

No, tattoo's are fine, as long as they mean something to you, and you don't look like a biker. For a girl, if you have one on the small of your back, I hope it's original, because if it's the same old tribal stuff, of something cheesy, like "hottie " or something, it's known as " the mark of the skank " Oh, and never get a name. Only your immediate family, and your kids.

It would depend on the tattoo but personally I think they look better on arms than legs, they just seem to breakup the leg line too much on some people.
