As a parent, I will tell you that it is a natural process of maturing for both of you. Life is difficult and everyday is a learning experience. From my view, parenting is a tough job, we know the world is a cruel place and want to protect your inexperienced child from all the pain that is out there. By the time most of us realize that we can't, we've already did the damage to they child without realizing it. Teenagers have had that protection and think that now they can handle making their own decisions, giving cause to parents nervous concerns. One way to think about it is that we should choose our battles wisely, cause in the long run some things are not that serious to cause permanent damage. Most parents are too busy living their own life to appreciate the good things that their teens do. Remind your folks that you are good and responsible. In twenty or so years they will believe it and open your heart and mind to them, it is a horrible thing to realize when it is too late.

So, you have apersonality that does not mesh with your parents. It does not make you a bad person or a hard person to deal with. It makes you YOU. If your parents can not love you unconditionally it is their issue not yours. So, your shy and they are most likely outgoing (Right) To bad for them and I hope they come to grips that having a child does not a clone make. They need to be thankful that you are drug free and make good choices. I am and i hope you stay just the way you are and if that makes them misserable all the better. Shame on them.

It's not as bad as you think. I'm a mom and I know that my kids (my 11 yr old daughter especially) think I'm really mad at them sometimes when I'm not. My daughter feels like I'm always picking on her when from the bottom of my heart I'm not. I think she's an awesome person and she will have to grow up to know that. You're parents love you and I'm sure they are very proud of you. Things are just distorted right now.

some people take their parents for granted. You may think you're not doing anything wrong because you're not doing drugs or any of those other things, but if they're telling you yoy're doing wrong, listen. They have your best interest in mind. When they're gone, you're going to wish things were different. Try to compromise if nothing else.

Not sure what your question is but trust me, it IS you. Everyone goes through this. I used to fight with my parents over the exact same ****. You'll look back in five or ten years and realize what a brat you are. Sorry to put it like that, but you'll understand one day.

Can't give you an answer because your info is vague but try to talk to them with these issues you have. Often it is because of a lack of communication that problems occur.

Maybe it's your attitude. Show your parents that you respect and appreciate them and they will treat you the same way.

you need to sit both your parents down and tell them that you need to have a serious talk with them and that it can't wait. Express to them how you feel and see what happens.
