Of the major popular national brands the Canadians (Molson, LaBatt and Sleeman) have it all over the watery tasting American (Miller, Bud, Pabst, etc.) but for wonderful micro and craft beers the Americans have hundreds more than does their northern neighbor (fortunately we are only an hour from the VT border).

that question is too general to answer.

American beer that is regional and not produced on such a massive scale is worth drinking over your generic canadian beer such as labotts. Labotts is better than american generic beer such as budweiser, well actually **** water might even taste better than a bud but thats a whole different topic. American brewskies that are better than canadian beer include but are not limited to are : sam adams, yeuling, a seattle based beer which I can't recall at this time.

so the final score is American beer over canadian beer. :-)

I personally prefer LaBatt over Bud, but MGD over Moosehead.
