If your goal is to obtain some sort of certification and your only limitation is the availability of the ARC classes you can check with:
•local hospitals
•YMCA, YWCA, or YFCA
•local fire departments
•local high school or community college
•local ambulance station
If your goal is for personal education and having a card is not important, there are many companies (including AHA and ARC) that have courses on line or the ability to purchase training videos off the web. An advantage of home learning is that you can watch the vids when ever you feel a refresher is needed and on your own schedule.

Check out the American Heart Association. They offer CPR classes that I know of. If they are not in your area see if you can find a Red Cross certified instructor and see if you can start up a class of you and your friends who are also interested in taking this type of class. Normally they will find a day that will fit into your schedule and the cost is normally just as cheap as taking them at the Y. I've been taking the Red Cross class for the past 13 years and I always set up with an instructor a day to have the class and also ask people in the area if they want to take it as well.
Check with your child's school to see if any of their classmates parents would like to have this type of training as well.

Call the hospitals in your area. And the Red Cross should be able to help you find something closer to where you live. Have you asked the doctor's office staff?

Check out hospitals in your area, and colleges.
But hospital would be best bet. They have them every month and they are open to the public most of the time. :-)
