Does anyone know whether or not you can save dvds on to a iMac, and how this is done?
I put a dvd in, and copied the folder into my documents, waited about a half hour for it to copy, and now I cant open it. I tried opening it in quick player, and Itunes, but it will not let me open it with the dvd player.
Is this even possible on the iMac? or do you need to specifically get a dvd burner?

Here are directions for using a Mac to copy a dvd to a second dvd. Since the intermediate step is to copy the dvd to your hard drive, this may do what you want. Note that it will work only with dvd's that are not copy protected. Commercial dvd's are probably protected. http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/making_dvd_copies.html

Here is another article on how to copy a commercial dvd to back up dvd's you have legally purchased for personal use.

Your superb guess is to circulate into an Apple save/save and have a look into a Mac for your self to work out in case you like it. in case you do no longer, grab your self and all-in-one laptop or laptop. in case you do, grab an iMac or a MacBook! bear in techniques in case you like living house windows for some thing specific, you are able to deploy living house windows (XP SP2 or Vista) on a Mac somewhat somewhat. only like nutrition, vehicles, and fairly some different issues, your decision in computing relies upon on your tastes. And hey, there is often Linux!

trust me, macs suck. my old school had a lot of macs, and over 75% of them crashed. i would recommend you to get a pc with windows xp. also, get nero burning rom...it's at least a decent program! ;)
