The US has better equipment than us Brits and more soldiers but thats where it stops. We have better soldiers. We also have a much better history and military experience as well as some great achievements. The US does to but as we are a tiny island i think ours are seen as much greater.
Also we have the SAS who are that good they could beat the US by themselves. Possibly.

The US has the bigger military and the best equipped(although the US troops are highly trained they don't have common sense on the battle field).
The UK military is the best trained and one of the most called upon in the world,they have some of the best technology and although the UK government doesn't spend much money on it's military(which is stupid because they have the money to do it)they have the best equipment.The SA-80 is an example of the equipment and vehicles like the Warrior and the Challenger 2 tank which are the best armored in the world.

It's not about 'who has a better military' it's about what they do with it. Of course the US has a much bigger military but in the present situation, we need all the help we can get. G.B. has been great to us, helping us fight the war in Iraq. They fight for what is right and so do we. I just have to say keep up the great work.

Better or bigger?
The US has the best in terms of numbers. It certainly has the most advanced equipment.....
However, the Israeli Armed Forces have been much more successful on the battlefield over the past 20 years than the US.
