To start:
Sin is just disobedience or rebellion against God. Salvation is a choice, not a rule.
Your second question: No...not for the majority of people. It also depends on the setting of the "sin".
Did you notice that every Christian answer to that question, including the one that said "yep" had like 7 thumbs down?
Does that mean we are complete idiots or they are being prideful?

Answer> The material World was create base in the Energy, and there are positive, and negative energies, Not to mention that energies are an emanation of element's, Fire, Water, as well that energies of Matter's, mostly for the one nature of some energies, rules, and believe in a superior being, isn't acceptable, because they are free, The God you are talking about, the Father of Jesus, isn't seeing nor perceived in the same way by energies that living energies have never experience the true about been positive energies?. The more energies that can show a basic and let say,AUTOMATIC? Respect for the true God, The Father of Jesus, the better will be for the World, don;'t make God guilty of what is wrong, but instead will work best if we make the best out of what we have, for other to live by good sample?, If we think positive things for one person that in the World to day, in search for understanding, in the same time, don't you think the massage will get to him in a better way?, How about if we all get together and prey for God to illuminate George Busch don't you think this could help us, Iraq and the rest of the World to achieve some peace?. I do understand your point, although there is a lot more to it, than the need God has to trap and incarcerate the Devil, and not completely destroy it?.

Your sins are paid for. But just as a house may be paid for what good does it do if no one lives in the house? It just sits there empty and gets wasted from neglect. It is up to you to let Christ in to your life and heart as your Lord and Savior. Up to you.

if sin means to miss the mark,,, you miss your chance of forgiveness of your sins if you dont accept jesus. if you murder or rape you have to pay the price for those sins, if you accept jesus he paid the price for those sins if you accept him, this in no way by accepting jesus gives you a license to do what you want, if someone believes that, then they have not truly believed in jesus as lord,, which is master of your life and savior, he cant just be your savior he has to be your lord and savior.

It is written in the Holy Bible that the sin the Holy Spirit convict the world of is rejecting Gods Saving Grace (Jesus Christ as Savior) because they rejected the Gift God gave, His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him will not perish, but will have everlasting life.
This is Gods plan to redeem us from our sins. To reject Christ is rebelling against God. It is going to other gods to fill the inner need for spiritual restoration. Other gods are destructive music, idols, money, worldly peace (tobacco, drugs, etc.), drunkedness, worldly spirits, etc. Satan gives people an alternative of all God provides. Choose life or choose death. Reject the God of Peace, satan gives you smokes.. Reject loveing God, satan gives you idols or worldly spirits... Reject Gods spiritual blessings, satan gives money for doing his destructive work... Etc...
This is rejecting Gods Gift for your salvation. Everyone has sinned somewhere, somehow. No one knows all their sins. Some are worse than others. Gods grace covers all a persons sins and they are all washed away in His redeeming blood. The initial salvation, rebirth is done once. The water baptism represents it, the old man is dead, washed clean in His redeeming blood, and the new man alive in Christ forevermore. The new Christian is clothed in the righteousness of Christ.
After that the Christian who sins need to confess sin to God and He Is faithful & just to forgive one their sin and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. And it is growing & maturing in Christ. Once a person is born of God, they can't murder & rape. It is impossible for one born of God to abide in sin (make it a comfortable habit) because of the Holy Seed within. God convicts the person if hate or unforgiveness in in ones heart, and person feels misserable. One can't go to the next level and murder. If one tried to abide in sin, God would take person home early. One can't rape, when one gets into pornography, the Holy Spirit convicts. If one got close to rape someone, then God would take person home early.
Westdyke has a revealing answer. Rejecting the Holy Spirits Truth, is unforgiven. So those rejecting Gods Saving Grace are unforgiven. Those who receive Gods Saving Grace are forgiven.

I answered it your other question, but I'll put it here also... you are essentially rejecting Christ's free gift.
30"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. 31And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
To sum that up in a single statement:
The church is the body of Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. You are either in, or out. If you refuse conviction of sin, and therefore decline repentance, you are out. As long as you do this, you are unforgivable – because you do not ask forgiveness.

Jesus did die for our sins, but we still have to ask to have our sins forgiven (repentance). You have to invite him into your life. He is not going to force himself on anyone. It is your choice to ask for forgiveness. If you never ask him to come into your heart as your savior and Lord, then he is not going to be there, even though he already died for your sins. It is not a given.

Actually, accepting Jesus as your savior means that you are asking him to forgive you for your sins. If you do not ask Jesus for forgiveness, then your sins are unforgiven by definition; you have not, because you ask not.
Why are you not automatically covered? Why doesn't God just forgive you withoput making you ask? God makes the rules.

Because you must believe and TRUST HIM by Faith, and repent of your sins. It's not "given" to those who don't come to Him out of a repentant heart.
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
