The practice of astrology as a way of obtaining knowledged about the future or wisdon for your life seems to be forbidden by the Bible; the following passages are a little ambigious as to whether astrology is an actual sin, but it expressly states that asking the stars for advice is useless since they are dead things:
(Isaiah 47:13; Jeremiah 10:1; Jeremiah 10:2; Daniel 1:20; Daniel 2:27; Daniel 4:7; Daniel 5:7).

I don't believe in astrology. I still say, however, that ultimately someone could argue that because they are a fan of astrology (or were somehow introduced to it) and a reading speaks to them, it is God's method of communicating with them. They can argue that God knew, at that precise moment, that they would happen by chance to look at a reading and continue to take this as a method of listening to a higher power.
I realize this is farfetched for the majority of people; I personally don't believe this.
I do, however, acknowledge that there really aren't contradictions, there are always ways to make sense of things if one wants to and this Fireball has the right to believe what he or she wants.
You guys...always stirring a very hot pot;)

Well....since I am not the final arbiter of who is a "real" Christian or not....that authority is better left unto God.
However...In Daniel 1:20 it says, "In all matters of wisdom and understanding, the king of Babylon inquired of them and found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers in his whole kingdom." When he consulted God's people he found them TEN times better, and that's an understatement. Chapter 2 talks more about the astrologers and the sorcerers and shows that they were inadequate, they were in error, they were helpless, and they were hopeless.
So, no Christian is to have anything to do with them at any time at all! Don't even fool with that. Don't even play around with it. It just opens up an avenue for Satan to influence you.
And I am NOT the kind of Christian who sees the devil around every corner. Just beware!

Dear believer of God,
Don't take the answer from any body; take it from the word of God Himself. In Deuteronomy 18:9 it is quite clear that Astrology is a practice used by the heathens and is not from God. In fact, it is a detestable thing to believe in any kind of divination. Here is what the Bible says about this subject, read it and answer your question yourself:
"9 When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in [a] the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the LORD your God."

Ok I am an idiot. Sorry about that I had confused the darn terminology.
No you can not "believe" in Astrology and be a Christian. The Bible clearly warns to stay away from such things.

being a Christian depends on accepting Jesus as ur Savior, if they've done so, then they're a Christian, however, they're living in sin, because in the bible it says not to believe in that. sorry i dont know the verse.

Why do you care? Think for yourself. The bible is fiction.
I can disagree with Father K and still love and respect him very much.

No. Astrology has pagan roots. It is decidedly UN-Christian.

I think that God doesn't mind us being entertained--but if anything is done to excess; becomes more important than Him--that's bad.
