Can't a nonbeliever just say "I don't know" once in a while?
Unless you know everything, which would make you God.
Pride was the only thing holding me back to submitting to Christ before I was saved.
Nonbelievers, I have noticed, are taking way more offense that Christians.
Did you know that offense is the Devil's greatest tool of deception?

"How did the universe start then? What caused the big bang?"
Who said the big bang was true to begin with?
I don't know.
The meaning of knowledge and expierience has been twisted, not my expieriences

Just because we can explain your "spiritual" experience away using the placebo effect and self-hypnosis doesn't mean we feel that we know everything.

Please, explain to me how 12 men changed the world 2000 years ago?
Supernatural.

I admit that I don't know things all the time. As do most atheists I've encountered. There's plenty of things that still have no answer. That doesn't mean we make up imaginary friends to magically make up for our lack of knowledge in the world.
"Did you know that offense is the Devil's greatest tool of deception?"
Since there is no such thing as the Devil, I wasn't too worried about it.
Edit : The more you type, the less sense you make. Please stop.

actually it is religious people who can't say "I don't know" that is why they have to make up fairy tales to explain the unknown things in our environment. Mankind and all creatures fear the unknown religion is a security blanket to give people comfort.
Religion is a way to explain things that man doesnt' understand. The logical man (agnostic or athiest) will say: "I don't know" or "science hasn't figured it out yet".
The religious man would say: Hmm, why do the leaves fall from the trees at times? Why do hot dogs come in packs of 10 while hot dog buns come in packs of 8? WAIT I KNOW, IT MUST BE THE WILL OF SOME MAGICAL BIENG! Yeah thats it now I'm not so afraid.

I'm an atheist and I am very well capable of admitting "I don't know". It seems to me like theists generally have a bigger problem with that. They replace "I don't know" with "God did it" whenever something is beyond their understanding. I skip that assumption and just admit that I don't know. No pride involved in my case, I just don't assume something is there when nothing indicates to me that something is really there. I don't suppose you assume there is an invisible unicorn following you around. In the same way I don't assume there is a god watching over me.

No, and who is talking about big bang.
The premises of evolution is scientific fact, and it does not disprove a possible creator, only those of organized religions.
Which is good, because if I didn't have my logic, I'd still have my morality, and the structures of Christianity are about as far from moral as you can get.

We say we do not know as often as we say we do, it is believers who say that they know there is a god.
And I do not take offense, that is a religious thing.
In fact everything you say is just turned around, isn't it pride to say the universe was created for a purpose and that purpose is you?

Pride in and of itself isn't bad, only counterproductive pride. That being said, you guys are the one's who think you know everything and are so sure you've got "The Truth" and everyone else is wrong.

"How did the universe start then? What caused the big bang?"
Atheist: We don't know yet.
Theist: God did it!
Who exactly is it that's having the problem with "I don't know" again?
------------
"How did the universe come to be at all?"
Atheist: We don't know yet.
Theist: God did it!
Your problem remains.

AHA! If I know everything, that makes me god?
Hmmm, something to shoot for.....
Or, if I know everything about a particular subject, would that make me a demi-god? 'Cause that would be way cool.
