I would definitely want to talk to them. You can't predict how they will respond but you'll regret it if you don't try.

call them and tell them who u are. if the problem were a reverse what would u think if someone called and told u that they were ur sister.
be gentle.
it might be a little overwhelming to think all this time ive had family elsewhere and never knew. they may not want to talk for a while but if u want to get to know them be persistant and eventually they will come to realize ur now family.
just remember to be gentle when u tell them ur theyre sister and there is also a brother in the mix.
good luck

Ya we are in the same boat arent we. My father also has a terminal illness. They gave him five years to live. On top of that he's doing life in prison. I spoke to one of my brothers on the phone last week. It was akward. But he seemed to want to get to know me. I talked to my sisters mom and my dads sister who seen me when I was like five. They seemed to think I was still five or thats how they seemed to talk to me. This is all a little to much for me. I hope your situation goes better. Good luck

Do you want to talk to them? Why don't you write them a letter, and explain how you got their names and addresses. Then tell them a little about yourself and ask them if they would be interested in getting to know you. Include your address and phone number and email if you want, and see what happens. Sometimes it's easier to start these things out on paper, rather that on the phone.
