Albinoism is basically a reccessive genetic condition where the melanocytes are unable to produce melanin, as a particular enzyme (tyrosinase) is missing.
Melanin is what gives people the colour in their skin and amounts of melanin (not melanocytes which are pretty much constant in everyone) vary from a lot in black people, quite a bit in asians, little in white people, and pretty much none in albinos. Consequently Albinos have Very white skin even if their heritige is black. This means they are more suscptible to skin cancer since they have no protection against UV light.
There are different variation in albinoism in regards to the genes that are affected. Some variants can have blue eyes, pink eyes or even in some cases purple eyes. Unfortunately albinoism is linked to many eye and visual problems from which many suffer. There is a lot and thus very little point in going into it.
Again in some cases of albinoism, hair is not affected others it is. In those that are affected, generally they have blonde or reddish hair. This depends on the genetic form of albinoism inherited.
I read in a book once that albino cats are nearly always deaf. This is because they use melanin in their ears, as part of the auditory system. In my studies however, I have never come across melanin being used in human ears or heard of any albino people being deaf. I suppose that this is just a side note, if you are interested.
I hope this helps and is interesting. You should be a bit careful with the use of the term "albino", some find it offensive.
