What I do is I warm up mid-range first. Don't sing to your highest, and don't sing to your lowest.

Maybe try some scales to expand either size after doing a mid-range exercise to warm up your highs and lows. Make sure you are breathing properly, make sure you are singing from your diaphragm.

As for the stage fright thing, if you can't see the audience its easier, convince yourself you are singing to an empty room, but if you can see them, look above their heads, that way you don't make eyecontact and it looks like you are looking at them.

Take a deep breath and just sing, :)

Have you looked for a good Vocal Coach? There are even vocal coaching techniques on tape that you can practice at home. I think the company is actually called "The Vocal Coach".

Now, to get over your stage fright will take some time. You will "learn by doing". It took me a while before I truly got confidant. I even decided to run Kareoke Shows in bars for a while so that I could get confident singing and being in front of audiences. I then to voice lessons, became a vocal major on scholarship at college, sang in several bands, and even got to sing the National Anthem for Mark Maguire during the Cardinals and the Mets game. That isonly some of what I have done.

Granted, you will be nervous at first, and maybe a little bit always. If you were not nervous, maybe you also wouldn't care as much about it.

Lastly, practice as much as you can. The more practice you have, the more confident you will become. You may also look into joining some local community theatre groups and do a musical. If you are a Church goer, join the choir. Go sing kareoke. Just sing whenever you can.

Believe me, you will get there in time. Good luck!!

Try going over scales. I always sing song in a very low voice before I perform to make sure I have everything right. As for the stage fright, don't look at them. Choose a point on the back wall or look at their forheads, not their eyes. The more you perform in front of people, the easier it will get.

The first thing I'll tell you is to get a professional vocal coach! Here is a directory that will help get you going:

second: Fear and excitement are the same feeling. It's just how you choose to interpret the feeling.

I've heard that the tea is very harmful for the vocals, GINGER is a very good herb which improves the voice & make it pure.
Don't be afraid and by time you'll gain more confident.

GOD BLESS
