Do you think he was attempting to harass you, or is it possible that he was just attempting to pay you a compliment, however inappropriate? If you were really offended and bothered by his comment, tell your mom AND the principal.

However, while such behavior should not be tolerated (he'll pull the same thing with others), there is such a thing as too much political correctness. It's up to you to judge whether the possible punishment fits the crime. Keep in mind that "making a mountain out of a molehill" could cause others not involved to think of you negatively. If that's important to you at all, just realize that life isn't always fair, there are jerks out there (and you will encounter many more in life), and sometimes it doesn't pay to be too thin-skinned. Pick your battles. I'm not saying it's right to let him get away with it, but sometimes it's better not to sweat the small stuff.
