What is the best cake frosting recipe that isn't too rich?

i cant seem to find a cake frosting that isnt too rich and one that isnt whipped cream like.

Sift powdered sugar over the top as to how much you want. Looks like snow. Actually, I would softly tap the side of the sifter because if ya squeeze the handle, too much will come out...just lightly tap it.
