I dont mean blowing it directly in their face, but just in general, if they happened to be around it, how harmful can it be? I know that secondhand cigarette smoke can cause pet cancer.

I have been reading about cancer in pets and it states that secondhand smoke of any kind can cause cancer in animals, however it did not specify cigarette or what type of smoke. I know that different types of smoke can cause health problems.

I have a funny story....
I came home one afternoon, and my dog was acting kinda funny; stumbling, salivating, rather cross-eyed. I ran him to the vet, as I thought maybe someone had poisoned him (my neighbors hate dogs). The vet gave him stuff to make him vomit, and the vomit smelled rather familiar. There were small black/brown specks in it, too. An hour later, my dog was fine, so we went home. I found the remnants of my pipe on his bed! You can bet I didn't call the vet to tell him what happened! The dog still likes the smoke, though!

Just like marajuana is harmful to people, its harmful to pets too. On the Discovery Channel (or at least I think it was) they had this program call "Bugs on Drugs" in which scientists would let various insects be around marajuana smoke. One spider made its web all messed up and similar things happened to other bugs. Even though you may have a larger pet than perhaps a spider, yes, the smoke is just as, if not worse for pets.

My cats Vet actually told me today that many cats and animals in general are allergic to smoke. And second hand smoke to them is like second hand smoke to us, it can cause problems. You should figure something out about that because it's not healthy for your kitty.

Unlike cigarettes, marijuana is not processed for shelf life. It is no worse for them than smoke from a bbq.

i doubt that any hip cats would mind a hit of weed. after all they adore catnip. i have seen pets climb up on couches when people were smoking up just to get closer to the smoke

you have to put them in a box or bag or something and then blow the smoke into the box. otherwise, it's too diluted.

It's as harmful to pets as it is to ANY BREATHING Creature...
What makes you think it's different... your pets breathe and have lungs, don't they???
Don't smoke it!!

It’ll affect neurologically the pet… it could affect movements, reactions… and even their smell sense…
