P0011 (ACMP timing over adv'd and/or sys performance error) does anyone know what this is? I have a 2001 hyundai elantra

I honestly wouldn't take my car back to a garage who would charge me to scan my vehicle and not know what he/she is reading of the scanner. Take it somewhere else, maybe a Hyundai dealer, they'll be able to translate that code for you. Don't forget pollution controls on cars today have 5-8 years warranties, you may be covered for this, take it to Hyundai. good luck

I recently had my check engine light go off. Go to autozone they lend you a scanner to figure out the code. They also have something to tell you what the code actually meens. They do all this for free.

u might want to gwt that checked again. i work as a hyundai mechanic and i have never seen that before. the only thing i can think of that would come close is a crank angle sensor or a cam angle sensor.
