Try making your own. After all, you know exactly what you want. For my wedding, my mother in law and I made mine. I wanted a spanish mantilla veil in the back, and a traditional one in the front. We bought the tulle and a fabric store, and I picked out the lace I liked the best for the edging. We ordered all the pearls, crystals, etc. online. And since my dress was only available in chapel train, my veil was cathedral length. It was gorgeous!!! All together we spent about $50 for something that was better than a $1600 veil I saw. Have you realized how expensive veils can be? It's ridiculous! If your own, you'll have even more memories!

I actually made my own. I figured out how I wanted my hair and talked to my stylist about what would be the best way to wear it around my hair. Then, useing her advice, I made my veil. Craft stores (even walmart) sell the fabric veils are made of, then you can buy beads to embroyer the veil or I used pearls and stiched them to the top of it. They also sell clear combs that are small and you can just sew the veil onto that. Its much more personal that way and you can style it to match your wedding! Good Luck and Congrats!

hi i have a really nice veil thing. i had a friend make it. it is made up of long strands of tiny glass beads - clear - lots and lots of them. there are small rose attachment things on each one. they are all attached about 1 inch from the slide so they can be removed after ceremony, each one can be joined together to form a chain/necklace, we are planning to use them as brides favours during the evening ceremony - it is meant to bring good luck to the newly weds for the bride to give every woman a token on her wedding day.

Veils are (supposedly) VERY easy to make. After all, they're just tulle and embellishment. Find a dressmaker and ask him or her about helping you design one that can be created. It costs, what? $100 + to buy one from the dress store? I bet you could have one made for that same amount.
I personally LOVE the one they use on "The Corpse Bride." The scroll embroidery on the edges is very pretty.

I wore a Mantilla to my wedding just 2 weeks ago. Its a spanish style veil; it attaches to your head and does not cover your face. It also goes great with a strapless style wedding dress.

A creative and talented dressmaker can create a custom veil for you for less than it will cost to buy an ordinary one at a bridal shop, and will make sure that it flatters you and goes with your dress. Ask around to find a good dressmaker in your area, and be sure to either bring your dress or photos of you in your dress when you go to see her.

honestly what they call veils is coming up the kind that lace goes over face and the groom sweeps it back over head when going in for kiss. I personally do not like those.
I dont know what it is calld but i like it when the long hair is done into like a long loose bun in back and is in sort of a lace bag or something. sounds really stupid i know but it is how they wore hair in fourties or something.
