This is not the time of year to meet a man. If they are in a relationship, men are doomed to suffer through the hell that is known as Valentine's Day. If we are lucky enough to currently be single, we will not enter a relationship, as we don't feel like being obligated to buy some girl we just met some gift that will be thrown away when we break up four months from now. So, we just wait it out, and start looking about 2/15 or a few days later.
Also, read the history behind Valentine's Day, and it's origin. Once you read it, you will wonder why people celebrate the day.

Let me get this straight. You want a boyfriend just for a stupid, pagan holiday, that has absolutely nothing to do with "romance" as it claims to be. On a day where gifts and love tokens are expected (which is not romantic at all.) And not given out of pure love and affection, just because it is expected for a silly holiday. I hope the guy doesn't find out that you are just using him so you don't look like a lonely fool on the "most holy and coveted" Valentine's Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well you don't neccesarily have to get a boyfriend, especially if you just want gifts. Just find a guy you already close to and become alittle more friendly, and by the time Valentine's Day roll around you will have a room full of stuff. And if that don't work send yourself something.

legit, getting a "boyfriend" before 2/14 is probably not gonna happen. You may be with someone who ur hooking up with, or just started seeing, but turning a fling type thing into a full blown relationship generally takes longer than like 3 weeks

Don't. I've found that this close to V-day, guys will avoid starting a relationship like the plague just so they don't have to get a gift. And if you do manage to snag a guy, it's too soon to get a meaningful (or expensive) gift. If you reeeaaalllyy want to then try to meet guys where ever. Just be friendly and don't seem too sleazy or desperate.

well she would probably love to have flowers. but then you have to think about the boyfriends point of view. say this is your girlfriend and she gets flowers from another guy on v-day. what would you do? if you sent her a card ot something a little more simple that would be a little more appropriate. she will like anything you give her.
