you play the "hard to get routine" with a decent guy that likes you, but he gets tired of the routine, and loses interest. Do you ever consider that this approch, could prevent a relationship from
developing?

it's not even necessarily the 'hard to get routine' it's more of the 'don't give the impression of being desparate and needy routine' know what i mean? we dont want to be so overwhelming but at the same time we dont want to be standoff-ish and make you lose interest. it's tough.

For me the hard to get routine is my way of saying that I am only partially interested. If I decide I want it bad enough, I don't let it get so far that I can't redeem myself. If I decide I don't want it I just walk away and try not to send mixed signals.
I haven't played hard to get since I was a teenager, because I know what I want and I do my best to pursue it. Love isn't something to let slip through your fingers.

In my opinion the hard to get routine is complicated. It seems you can get screwed either way. I do think you shouldn't hide your feelings. I feel that because of people who do this some guys tend to think that when im not interested that im really just playing hard to get which can be frustrating.

Yeah some women go to far and don't know when she got the man already and sometimes she think if she pushes it a little more she will get more but that never works. She just has to learn from trial and error. The approach does works you just have to know how to use it, it is a skill that women learn from others that with time and experience becomes a talent. case is you could of experienced from a women and didn't know it, and that's talent! Much love.

I never played hard to get with guys that I liked. As a matter of fact I never played any games with any guys. If I did I never would have met the man that I married, who is wonderful. So, yes. Playing those games will definitely deter a good man from maintaining a relationship with you.

There is a difference between hard to get and just being immature. If you are speaking of an older more mature woman then she's not playing hard to get. She is eithor not interested or she isn't ready.

I think playing hard to get is stupid. and a guy should get tired of that $h1t. A girl though should move at a pace she is comfortable with to know what the guy' s really intentions are

If a woman is playing hard to get intentionally, she is totally aware of what she is doing...now, if she is still on the fence about you or not interested then that's a whole other issue.

Women who have a need to play these games need to grow up. My husband told me he thought I played hard to get, but the truth was I stuck by my morals and refused to sleep with him right away. If he's worth it, then he can wait for it. But to play games just to play them, is immature.

It depends on the situation...I do the hard to get thing sometimes but if I am interested then I don't do it for long.
