I for one disagree with that statement. I think they look great together, though *some* shades of green and blue might clash. Just because it rhymes (blue and green shouldn't be seen) doesn't mean it's true. ;O)

The saying is in fact "Blue and green should never be seen without another colour in between". There are lots of colours in between the sky and the grass. Hope this answers your question.

Hi Kay,
OK, get the technical bit over with:
The sky seems "blue" on a cloudless day due to water molecules
hanging around, which only reflect blue, except in rainbows.. Grass seems green, as chlorophyl absorbes all wavelengths of visible light barring "green"
I personally like gold on black, or black on purple, or yellow on green. I agree that red & green together looks a bit daft, but in response to your Q, surely blue & green together are complimentary colours.
Just don't stick yellow & pink together !
Imagine that.
One of my guitars is black, orange, fading to yellow.
Sunburst, they call it.
Looks fine, although I still can't play the thing proffesionally, regardless of colour !
I hate pink, and love purple.
Each to their own I suppose.
Cheers with the colour scheme
Bob.
