It will for awhile, but shortly you'll get used to it.

Hey K if it feels like u are biting on your fillings visit your dentist. What happens is that when u are numb and we adjust the fillings to your bite, somethimes ur bite is slightly off. Once the numbness goes away, you will start biting in the right place and the filling might be a little high. This may cause sensitivity, it can even cause a dull ache. Visit your dentist so he can check the occlusion it takes minutes,

If it feels "funny", it may not have been sized properly. Your bite requires that the top and bottom teeth align. If the dentist left a high spot when the teeth were filled, your bite will not close fully. You may need to return to the doctor and have the surfaces buffed down a bit (no need to freeze it). Usually the dentist will put purple wax paper between the teeth and ask you to grind. That indicates where the high spots are. Very minor repair, and should be at no charge.

The fillings are shaped differently than your original teeth were. When you bite down now you jaw will stop at a different place than when your original teeth were there. This is what you are feeling.
Over time this new stopping point will feel normal to you.

Yes it is, but in a couple of days if you feel any pressure on those teeth, the fillings may need some grinding.

They should have done a bite check to make sure you are still biting down correctly but even having done this my filling still feel weird 6 months later I would not worry but if it bothers you go back in they can redo them.

The dentist may not have ground the filling enough to match the teeth that contact it. I would go back and have him do it...

oh yea that happens to me too. i told my dentist and he said that the filling stuff are sticking out the side of my teeth so then he kind of used a mini razor thing and shaped it better.
