i just recieved an answer saying there is no more decent people out in cyber space and thats just aweful because i thought that chating was designed so people around the world could connect in a sec by im was i wrong to belive this?

Yahoo chat rooms are horrible. I haven't had my puter that long so out of curiosity I went into the gardening room. I wasn't in there more then 1 min. when I got IM by someone from Syria. He/she didn't want to talk about plants that's for sure. I tried a few different rooms and the same things kept happening. I didn't think it was much fun. Kind of scary actually.

That's not totally true. Yes, there are all kinds of people on there like in our general walk of life. And there are bots that aren't exactly people. They are computerized programs that run in chat rooms to solicit people to porno sites and services.
I do chat and a few very good friends I have are friends I met online. I guess our experiences tell us what's good and what isn't :-)

no your right, but chat rooms have become a place where the only object is sex. Can't go in a room without getting propositioned. This would be fine if it was on sex related sites but it happens all sites, no matter what the topic!
