The energy drinks make it worse by dehydrating you. I used to use those when I was tired and sluggish, but they never worked for more than a couple of hours. Overall, I got my energy back by avoiding those, eating healthier and losing weight.
Go see your doctor and let them do blood testing, where they can check for both thyroid problems and iron deficiency. Until then, just try to get enough sleep and take care of yourself.

I got a juicer for christmas, and I REALLY like it!!! Since the juice is fresh and natural (no sugar) it helps your body to absorb the vitamins quicker and you actually are getting more this way too! Anyways I drink a glass of carrot juice (4 carrots) in the afternoon most days because it gives me energy. Plus it doesn't make me feel all tired a couple hours later, like energy drinks. You should try it. Oh and it doesn't taste bad either if you add an apple to it. It thought it would be gross because I don't like carrots (lol) but it's really good.

avoid energy drinks like Red Bull or Monster b/c those are loaded with sugar and caffeine which will make you feel good for a little bit but will make you crash harder than ever and will make you feel worse than when you started, which encourages you to drink another one and gives the drink companies more money. try getting a lot of rest at night and literally force yourself to get up and work out and before you know it, you will feel more energetic and motivated. but there are things at GNC or other health food stores that can help if you don't get the results you're looking for.

i don't think energy drinks are the answer. It sounds like a thyroid problem. Especially if you lack motivation and you never used to lack it.

You need a change somewhere in your life. Get out of your environment. You need something refreshing for your mind. An awakening.
