I am mainly looking for social and cultural indicators, but feel free to discuss transport, military, employment, food, globalisation etc if you feel like it.

Hint for anyone whose main goal here is to get a valuable and heart warming two points: This should take more than two lines!

Thanks everyone.

No wars, no egotistical politicians or religious leaders, in fact, a systematic sublimation of ego at the individual and group level without an administering class (the real reason Communism never worked and became totalitarian), a willingness to accept a certain level of death and disease and adapt to it without violence or mass die-offs or kill-offs. The end of dogma. The willingness to allow individuation of thought (in order to foster advancement) without allowing it to advance to chaotic levels, i.e., a better method of channelling restlessness and new ideas than conflict and the Hegelian dialectic/raw Darwinist methods of progress. I realize these things are probably not realizable, but I figured this was a good place for a brainstorm. I might change my mind tomorrow, but there it is...

Respect among the people, no matter their differences. Instead of arguments and petty insults, they would actually discuss what they disagree about. War would be the very last resort. Science and Religion would not be the main points of disagreement, but instead would help advance the society together. There wouldn't be any homeless or those that would go without health care... or if these things still existed, there would be ways for them to get what they need without having to go against the society. Kids would not be shooting one another over petty differences. Education would be worthwhile, instead of something that we force our kids thru just to get them out into the real world.

No religion. Energy-efficient transport. Alternative fuels. Laws prohibiting ownership of minivans by families with fewer than five members. Birth control everywhere. Mandatory employment unless disabled, too young, or too old. No social assistance for employable persons, and I do mean none unless they are going to school. Abortion rights. Same-sex marriage. Free child care, health care and education (including college). Voluntary military service, no death penalty. Yeah, it's a bit fascist, but it warms my heart.

When we all open our ears and eyes to God and are receptive to his teaching. Putting no other God before him. Loving him with all of our hearts, mind and soul and loving our neighbor as our self.

We would have no issues between us and we would truly be in the ideal society that God has planned for us.

God is not just love like the morals know put he is pure love that is all encompassing that it leaves no room for doubt, envy, jealousy, no bad thoughts of any kind what so ever.

Your indicator in many words is pure unadulterated love. The Reader's Digest one word translation, GOD.

Flying cars, like in the Jetsons. We are not a truly advanced society unless I can have a flying car.
