there truly is no accurate recommend amount because that number will change from person to person depending on their body weight.

total fat intake should range from 20-33%, with 50% of that coming from unsaturated sources, 25% from polyunsaturated sources (this includes omega 3,6 and 9) and the remaining 25% from saturated sources.

Doesn't matter you could eat a diet composed entirely of fats and still lose weight as long as you burn more than 1500 calories per day. That said you might end up malnourished on that type of diet but the point is it's calories that matter. Most that of the fat that you eat is metabolized very quickly for energy and is not stored in the body unless you exceed your daily calorie requirements. 1500 calories is generally ok for most floks but you may need more calories. The larger you are, then more calories you burn in a day. It's best not to lose weight too fast if you want to keep it off. Worry more about fat/saturated fat/trans fats/cholesterol for cardio vascular health. That is where they are important. They are unrelated to weight loss.

Don't worry about what you are conceiving in a day. Just make a list of all the foods that you like and mark out the ones with the most calories and fat in them. Make a diet plan that is right for you.

23-40 grams is a very wide span of fat grams!! just take your reccomended fat intake and multiply it by 0.10 (10%) and that'll give you your answer. it's basic math.
