Manualing has got to be the lamest term I have every heard for elevating the front wheel in the air. In this case without using the pedals.

Manualing on the rail could mean elevating the front wheel while on a foot peg. I'd suspect it has half pipe origins. Grinding the rail means to slide on the foot pegs.

But then it could just mean to operate a hand cart on a railway line. (Gee I'm starting to sound like a living fossil)

come across an extremely old pair of curler skates from like a backyard sale. Take off those old steel wheels and throw them on your board. that could maul you up extraordinarily sturdy whilst your attempting an ollie or a grinder. Bitchin' Hawk Jack!
