Absolutely. HIV is a pre-existing and infectious medical condition with lifelong and possibly fatal complications. The US military will deny enlistment to anyone who has this type of pre-existing medical condition. If you acquire HIV during your term of enlistment, you will be medically discharged immediately. If you can prove that you were infected as a direct result of your assigned military duties, you will be medically retired instead of being simply discharged.

To my understanding, HIV is a disqualifying undertaking. you will might desire to envision with the recruiter, yet i comprehend maximum people who're clinically determined with HIV whilst interior the provider are allowed to end out their enlistment in a field or way that does no longer positioned them or others at risk and then in many circumstances ought to get out or are discharged for scientific. And interior the militia, all occupation fields might properly be deployed into try against situations..in case you're no longer able to installation, the militia won't opt to pay the value of your coaching.

No branch of the military will accept HIV persons.
The excuse or reason is the likely exposure to blood borne pathogens in combat or accident situations.
Sorry for the bad news.

Yes, it will make you non-deployable. You have to be able to give your blood to another soldier on the battlefield if you needed to. And honestly do you think it is fair of you to put medics and other personal that will be dealing with your wounds at risk?

yes any STD will, until you dont test positive for it you can't join. We had 2 in my basic flight got kicked out for it. there is no waiver for it.
I've known of people to have it after they have been in along with other STD's but thats all hear say. Wouldn't know for sure, but I'd have to agree that it would make you non deployable so you would be out eventually.
