a guy likes me, but i don't like him back. he's one of my closest buds, and i don't want to ruin the freindship. latly our relationship has turned more into "flirty" than "just chillin'" what can i do, so we still remain friends?

Just be honest. Tell him you aren't into him that way but you really value the friendship yall have built. Be nice but be firm so he understands how you feel and doesn't take it the wrong way.

i actually just went through the same type of thing the was a really close friend of mine that had a huge crush on me thought i was the one for him and at first i would do what you did flirt, and hang out all the time but i started getting uncomfortable around him and could no longer beat around the bush it took alot of convincing that he was a great person and i love him with all my heart but he's one of my closests friend and i really don't want to hurt him because i know im not ready to take our friendship to the next level nor do i think i will ever be ready, he's your friend and you wanna keep it that way just tell him the truth and im sure he will be understanding at first he might pull away for a bit but he'll come around.. good luck hope i was of some help!

Don't think about ruining the friendship...

I've been friends with my boyfriend for over a year and he's loved me the entire time. I never liked him like that though. But when I finally realized my feelings for him, the thought of "ruining our friendship" never even ONCE occurred to me. I told him I had feelings for him too. And now we've been together for almost a year.

A great friendship is the way to a great love. ♥

But if you really feel like you don't like him (not just because he's one of your closest friends), then do this:

Be honest with him. Tell him that you just see him as a friend and you just don't feel the same. Tell him he is a nice guy and bring his self-esteem up and say that there will be someone else who likes him for who he is. (Kinda even out the "rejection.") You just don't feel the same way.

Tell him that you really enjoy his friendship and company and you would like it to remain that way. You are very flattered about his interest in you and if that changes for yourself you will let him know, but for now you are very much enjoying being just friends. Take care Heather
