There are cork-based stick on disks that go onto the bottom of the legs. They keep furniture from sliding and if it does move there will be no scratch marks. They also come in clear plastic (urethane) and black rubber. Try a couple of different kinds to see what will work best for your furniture and floor combination. You can get them in a lot of stores including Home Depot and Lowe's.

RE:
What would be best to use to stop your furniture from sliding on hardwood floors?
I have a sectional couch and everytime that my kids sit on it the pieces seperate due to my hardwood floors. It is also scratching up my floor. I know they have things to make furniture easier to move on carpet but do they have something like that to stop furniture from moving so much on hardwood...

Try some pieces of thin rubber, felt will only make the furniture slide more easily, and since you want it to stop sliding, felt won't work, and carpet will do the same.
You can also try that stuff they sell for inside drawers that keeps stuff from sliding around, it's inexpensive and you usually get a good sized roll, and it's thin enought to not be seen. I used it under my microwave to keep it from sliding when I closed the door, and it works great.

Buy the Rubbermaid (or other brand) rubber-grid mat usually used under rugs so they don't slide. Cut it down and put under your furniture. Also protects your floors. You can buy it at home stores or Walmart kind of stores.

We used to have hard rubber casters under the furniture when we had hardwood floors.
