I am writing an essay on the artistic and religious importance of the Sistine Chapel. I was wondering if anyone knows good wesbites [NOT WIKIPEDIA] where I can get detailed infromation on its religious importance..I know it is used by the Papal Conclave, but I need info to flesh this out. Also, any info on tourist numbers each year at the Sistine Chapel would also be great!

Mainly, now, it's a tourist attraction. Never having been lucky enough to have visited there I can only guess that, chapel-or-not, it still is a place for catholics to click the beads
