Good..! I payed for transportation, not to put up with someone elses brats.
If parents cant control thier offspring.. Umm maybe thats a hint they should not be breeding? I have no tolerance for someone elses brats... I choose not to breed why should I put up with thiers?
Oh thats right, I shouldnt, in a public place or public means of transport. Nope no tolerance.. if you cant keep em under control.. keep em outta my life EH? They are yers NOT mine.. I dont need to suffer for your lack of ettiquite and teaching parents (and YES its YER fault parents.. kids do what you LET them)
This is PURE BS.. if you cant take care of yer children parents.. dont expect me to put up with the BS of that fact... Some people shouldnt breed.. thats a fact... there outta be a law..

Unequivocally, the airline was right to kick them off. If parents have done so poor a job raising a child that after three years it cannot sit still for ten minutes with a book or a toy, they deserve whatever comes to them, including getting kicked off a plane.
As far as discpline goes, there is no question that these parents suck at it. But there are ways to teach a child that do not involve physical abuse (spanking, etc), such as removing a child from a situation it cannot handle. My parents never hit me, ever. If we were in public and I was having a bad day or couldn't handle the situation, they made a responsible decision and left the area. A crying child has no business being at a restaurant any nicer than McDonald's.
What's sad about this is that these parents had to be forced to make the right choice. The child was obviously freaked out about being on a plane and had been raised with no boundaries so she didn't know how to deal with her fears. Her parents should have voluntarily left the plane as soon as it was clear she wasn't calming down and rescheduled their flight for a few hours later. That time could have been spent walking around the airport and getting more comfortable with the idea of flying.
When civilized adults go into public, they do so with the expectation of dealing with other civilized adults - not barbarian children and the ignorami who whelped them. Children too young for travel should be driven to their destinations, or friends and family should be invited to come for a visit themselves. Until a child can be quiet and respectful, it should be restricted to parks and playgrounds and private homes.

I think that they personally had it made afterwards. they got 3 roundtrips for all 3 members of the family for free and their trip refunded and flewn back home all for free. Next time the mother and father should have started to hold her and consoled her right away not after 15 minutes. everyone knows that if you let a child misbehave for at least 5 minutes their just going to keep it up. That child wasn't buckled up in her seat and the plane couldn't take off holding up (i think it was) 155 peoples schedules. They have a buisness to run and people to keep happy. I hope that parents don't tell their kids to misbehave on planes to get kicked off just so they can get the free flights, that would be sooo sad.

More info: after 15 minutes of trying the family could not get the 3 year old to sit in their seat. The child was screaming, hitting her parents, climbing under the seat. Federal regulations state that people must be in their seats with seat belts on to take off. They could not justify delaying the other 100+ people on the plane any longer. I say the airline was totally justified, plus they refunded the money and gave them free airline tickets for future travel.

Well I have been on many planes with kids that have been unruly. I think it was good they must have had a warning lol. They should know how to make their kids like listen. Yeah I think it was right. Or maybe the air plane lady was really upset and had a bad day. So maybe it was unfair it all depends on the situation

Did you examine the tale? They were going to their seats and discussing the "safe practices" of the position they were sitting. between the crew made some comments about the incontrovertible actuality that they were sitting over the wing, close to the engines. curiously, someone on the plane concept this suspicious and notified the crew, one component brought about yet another and they were off the flight. i come across this variety of component really unlucky, and there is not any rationalization for it. If those human beings were suspicious by any ability, does no longer this are turning out to be glaring *earlier* to them boarding the plane? I mean, the TSA and position of beginning safe practices allegedly have lists of suspicious human beings, and that i need to assume none of those human beings were on those lists or they does no longer have made it with the help of safe practices. They were also community community (this befell right here in DC). between the guy turned right into a healthcare specialist, one a lawyer. So, my wager is they were widely used human beings operating in open fields of work, and any suspicious pastime earlier to their boarding the plane might want to have placed them on *a persons'* radar. Their bags were of direction sparkling... the finished component really stinks. perchance someone merely overreacted, yet I go back and forth by technique of air plenty, and that i see "Muslim-searching" human beings each and every of the time, and they are in many cases (or probable) no longer Muslims or Arabic in any respect. if I ran to the crew each and every time I talked about someone that gave the impression to be "appearing suspicious," i could not in any respect get off the floor. I merely locate it astounding that we've all this safe practices at our fingertips, yet a collection of human beings land up getting tossed off a plane.

The story I read was that the child would not sit down in her seat and that she was hitting her parents and trying to get away from them. The plane wasn't able to take off because they couldn't get her in the seat (everyone needs to be in their seats and buckled up before take off), so I say it was warranted. It was a huge inconvenience to the parents, I'm sure, but seriously...how many other people were being inconvenienced by the fact that the plane couldn't take off? The parents did get their money back. so I don't feel that bad for them.

Do you remember 9-11. Inappropriate behavior of any kind shouldn't be tolerated on an airplane. Control your child or get off the plane!

about time.
Sorry, but I really think that kids who can't even do a simple task as SITTING DOWN, and being reasonably quiet and respectful should not have the priveledge to use that transport.
I mean, what if EVERYONE on the plane was unruly? Yeah, sounds like a safe flight.

It depends on the circumstances of what is happening, and depending on the age of the child. You have to keep the child occupied, and entertained. You didn't state the age. My son went on his first flight at 22 months old. (1 hour flight)..he slept the whole way..as soon as the plane took off he fell asleep, as soon as it landed he woke up.

Thank goodness! I read about this story earlier and it makes sense. The parents were given over an hour to clam her down and get her in her seat, but they wouldn't. Than they complained that they weren't even enough time. How about the 100 + people that were already made to wait. That's not fair to them at all. They were refunded their money and given 3 more tickets so maybe next time they fly they will make sure she calms down.
