i WASNT LOOKING FOR AN EGO BOOST OR ANYTHING, BUT I TALKED TO MY EX THE OTHER DAY AND SHE SAID THOSE THINGS SPOIL A GIRL TOO MUCH AND ALL I WAS TOO NICE JUST WONDERING I THOUGH THAT WAS WHAT YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO DO FOR A WOMAN

Some women tend to go for men who are messed up because they aren't familiar with the environment. Maybe when she was younger, she was accustom to seeing relationships where men always treat women badly. Therefore, when you came along, she isn't familiar with it, so she feels that she doesn't deserve a nice guy. So she tries to push you away.

I think that the 'telling line' in what you said is 'A guy who will listen and give you honest advice' is what is most unattractive about you. You are doing all these 'nice' things 'for her' and I'll bet that you expect her to take your 'honest advice' as her 'answer' ... and you CAN NOT DO THAT. Yes, you DO need to LISTEN, but after that you should ask her what she thinks or wants to do FIRST, and you need to 'compromise' on those ONLY if what she thinks/wants also concerns you ...
And also, if you are 'arguing with her' is it something that she also wants to argue about? Or are you 'arguing' simply so you can 'win' and show her how 'nice' you are when you are 'making up?' That, too, is WRONG. You are NOT going to agree on every little thing, and no matter how 'nice' you are when you 'make up' (and especially if that means having sex) if you don't 'just let go' of those little disagreements and APPRECIATE her for what she is/does for you, then you are a 'passive/agressive controller' and that is EXTREMELY UNATTRACTIVE.
And by the way ... I stay home all day, and my husband does the cooking for us after he gets home from work, because he knows that I'm 'burned out' on cooking ... so that when I DO cook, it's something HE WANTS but doesn't know 'how' to make as well as I do. HE IS NOT 'PASSIVE/AGRESSIVE' but is 'simply' the BEST MAN IN THE WORLD TO ME. And that is VERY ATTRACTIVE.

Well, is that a whole, complete and accurate depiction of that guy? Or is there other qualities that are viewed from the other side? Are there other bad habits as well? So "why is this bad for a guy to have", is that really all of it? What else is there (that is if there is something else)?

I had a guy who did all that. You don't know how good you have it until it's gone. I'm sorry she's not apreciative of you but don't stress or be discouraged. THE gal will come your way and she will gladly do all that stuff for you too.

well, that's her problem. you see every woman is different. some would love a guy like that and some thinks your too "nice." that's just the way it is. you'll find someone who appreciates you!!!
