I would absolutely not suggest you put a cockatiel with such a small bird. I have heard that parakeets and cockatiels get along well but aren't zebra finches smaller? Your cockatiel might be very gentle but birds can get easily spooked from all kinds of things and one bite from the cockatiel could probably kill the zebra finch.

Aside from the huge differences in diatery needs, cockatiels can kill your finches with one bite. Do not put them together.

I wouldn't risk it either. While cockatiels are docile, they have a huge size advantage. If one bird slips up, the finches are dead.

Also, both birds have different dietary needs. Cockatiels are hookbills and finches are not, hookbills have their own large category of special foods.

particular. I had 2 Zebra finches a woman and male, and my woman died. I went to the save, and purchased one greater female for him, and he perked acceptable up. He then out lived that one. So I better the cage and built a great outdoor element for him(huge adequate to stroll around in, consistent with danger 20'x15'x10') and then I went to 3 astounding puppy shops, and purchased 2 women and yet yet another male. when I positioned all of them jointly, my male, who grow to be as quickly as greater powerful than the form new male, picked his woman first, then the different male paired up with the different woman, they in many situations lived like that, in pairs for a protracted time. the standard pair had 6 babies that i bought to a puppy save. wish my tale helps.
