As long as they take you seriously it's okay. Maybe you just make them laugh which is a gift you have. But don't be treated like a laughing stock. That's not how you want to be perceived!!! Pay attention and you'll be able to get the vibe on what that person thinks of you.

You should take it for what it is. Obviously the person saying it, believes you are silly. Now you have a choice. Change or be considered silly. It isn't you advantage to be silly.

It depends upon your intentions. I am silly often and my wife tells me so. On the other hand if you are intending to be serious and you are told that you are silly, then you are not communicating well.
Take care,
Troy

It depends if the person who is saying it likes silly. I get it all the time but my mate likes silly so its a compliment.

I think it really depends on the situation. I tell my boyfriend that he is silly all the time. But that's because I love his sense of humor.

Well that would depend on if the person that keeps saying it is a friend and being silly with you, or if it's your boss....
I think the rest of this answer is obvious.......

Take it as a compliment , it is probably meant to be one. Now if someone was always telling me " you are stupid" I'd worry.
