Is that something specific to Texas ?
I think you mean Amaretto, the liqueur ?

Here's a secret...it goes with everything.
I would suggest a basic icing like vanilla or chocolate but pick your favorite icing then add it at the end for maximum flavor.
If you add it during any cooking process the alcohol burns off and the flavor is diminished.

Are you sure that is what it is called? I can find nothing about anywhere, not even in the cooking Bible, The Joy of Cooking.
