My puppy has been to the vet for this and about $1000 later the vet still has no clue. At first on his back leg/side there was something like looked like ringworm and my cat had it to. My cats went away with medicine, but his did not. Now it has turned into a little hole less then an inch in diameter. he chews on when he gets sleepy, but otherwise it just sits there. Any ideas on what this might be?

yes my vet did skin tests and everything. and said it wasn't ringworm. i have looked at pics online and noticed that some smaller breed dogs develop this from ringworm and that only 50% of the time the culture and tests come up positive.
My vet loves money hahah

I cannot understand HOW your Vet could have charged $1000 for what he did. But that isn't the point now.

You have to get a second opinion. I also agree with whoever told you to call the breeder and ask about it. I don't think it sounds like ringworm. I would think the Vet tested for other things too, including mange. The hole would bother me.

I have two Maltese dogs and they have never had anything like that. I would call another Vet as soon as possible. You cannot let something like this go.

Generally if you treat for ringworm, you should treat the entire household of animals. Moreover, ringworm can be transformed to people. Have him treated for ringworm

Get a new vet, I would go with your instincts and re-treat him for ringworm.
