32 fl. oz. Just be careful with this whole ounce thing. A lot of people get ounces confused with fluid ounces. If a recipe calls for ounces, use a scale. If the recipe calls for fl. oz., use measuring cups or spoons. 4 oz. of flour (weight) is about 1 cup of flour, not 1/2 a cup. A lot of people are also confused about the term "dry measure". A dry measure is a measuring cup that is flat on top so that it can be leveled. A liquid measure has a spout on it. Dry measures use fl. oz., not oz.. A 1 cup dry measure and a 1 cup liquid measure both have exactly the same volume: 8 fl. oz. Here is a conversion chart: Volume: 3 tsp = 1 Tbsp 2 Tbsp = 1 fl. oz. 1 cup = 8 fl. oz. = 16 Tbsp 1 pint = 2 cups = 16 fl. oz. 1 quart = 2 pints = 4 cups = 32 fl. oz. 1 gallon = 4 quarts = 128 fl. oz. Weight: 16 oz. = 1 pound
