First off you need to be rated thru the VA, not a quick process by any means. If he did not get himself rated while separating from the Service, the process will take around a year, possibly more. Call your local VA and start the process now, they rate you for service related conditions, and medical care granted is for those said and rated conditions plus emergency care if available in your area. It is not a clinic that you can visit on a walk in basis for just whatever.

Check your insurance and see if you have domestic partner coverage, he may fall under that and the cost is only matched with his personal health, which has no price in my opinion. Also if he is not disabled he should man up a little and find a job with insurance benefits.

PS thank him for his service for me.

You need to go to your local VA hospital and just fill out some forms. He wasn't in the service long enough to get full benefits, but he does qualify for emergency care.

Go to the VA and file for the appropriate benefits.

soubds like he needs to change jobs and work hard at it...if he has a service connected disabilty,, yes he will get help ... if not,, then he will go to the bottom of the list with the va.

you also need to check with your local goverment to see if they have have programs, to help low income..

Make a simple call to the Veterans Administration and see if he is qualified.
