This question is too open to answer precisely. Lurchers are bigger dogs (mixed breeds), and bigger dogs tend to be less picky. However, there may be certain dietary restrictions or foods a Lurcher enjoys - so talk to your vet. Also, how old is your dog? When did you last have it to the vet? Do you notice any other problems (lethargy, for example)? Is this loss of appetite sudden (that is, your dog ate well before, but not now)? Age, lethargy, and loss of appetite all suggest other problems could be occurring. So again, take your dog to the vet and have blood tests run. This may help you find out.
If your dog is healthy, I would simply try different foods. Try adding a small teaspoon of oil to the dogs food. The extra fat will give the food more flavor and make it taste better. But do watch the oil as it can allow weight gain. Alternatively, try mixing in a bit of canned food (maybe a tablespoon) with the dry food. The higher fat content of the canned food may make the meal more appetizing.
Good luck!

I have a mongrel who has lurcher in him, and he has terrible appetite. He always has, however, and is very very healthy for his 8 years - he has barely ever been to the vet's and still jumps around as if he were a puppy.
You can try changing the food if you like but in the end it's probably best just to leave the bowl of food out and he can eat bits as he gets hungry, and just top it up when it needs it. My dog also hates people to watch him eating, so try leaving him alone with the food.
Exercise also, just like in humans, will burn calories and make him hungrier.
Hope this helps! :)

Goes scavenging in the trash can? Get a new trash can that the dog cannot get to. Train the dog with positive reinforcement to not touch the can. Dog training can make living with your dog much more pleasant.

Try getting him stoned......I hate to say it but it helps cancer patients throughout their treatment when they are sick. Even as cruel as that sounds it has been proven to work and the dogs will usually keep more food down. If you dont feel comfortable with that then try mixing his dry food....... which try something new like Pedigree lamb and rice and mix it with some canned soft food. Thats helped my pregnant dog with her lack of appetite the first month. She eats great now. Good luck....thats about all I can help with!
